adding layers means more cost. Why not you ask intel to add layers so as to change from X1 to X16?

You see how the price increase. haha

You can fit a x1 or x4 card on a x16 physical slot but you can't fit a x16 card on a x1 slot Thats the advantage of the x16 slot even it is not performing at full speed.

Some updates on this casing.

Was in contact with the nice distro today and he mentioned that this casing will be available in most retail shop @ S$499 (estimated, not confirmed yet).

Included is as follows:

1. 180w PSU adapter
2. Media card reader
3. All drives bay
4. Slim optical drive to IDE adapter <- very important dah!!!
5. 2 x 60mm fan

Great for server storage and media centre guys. Don't miss it when its out end of July / early August.

Saw the casing myself in person. No low profile rams needed. The build is alu body and very solid. the front panel is magnetic and very clean and sleek. Overall I give it a 9/10. It'll be perfect if the price is a tad lower.

PM me if you guys are interested.

Actually the price of S$499 is not bad for a direct local source. When you ask from Taiwan side, do make sure they include the PSU. That makes a hell lot difference
