New ITX casing from Chenbro dr_disciple Jan 8th, 09, 03:40 AM #725 (permalink)
The reason to go ITX is to save space. VIA came up with the idea of putting the system behind the LCD but sadly, the enclosure comes along with VIA board that we are not so keen on.

Introducing a new casing from Chenbro with the same concept but allows you to use any board you want (well, basically you're stuck with Atom DC since the psu supplied is 60w only).

The question now is to find a suitable LCD with a proper exposed VESA mounting (LG fashion series is def not one of them)

Item: 3-Liter Mini-ITX Chassis

it says optional from the website, but i believe we should be getting a full package (mounts included). Just wondering what LCD out there has exposed mounting holes. I know my Dell and HP doesn't have them.

I want to send you link to the latest price list of myneXTcomp pte ltd but it has not been uploaded yet. If you head down, you'll see new pricing on the board and cpu

As for the mounting holes, you see the picture below with 4 holes at the back ( VESA mounts )

New board from Zotac. Gamers alert! dr_disciple Jan 9th, 09, 11:48 PM #734 (permalink)
Ok, here's the offering from Zotac for gamers who wants to use Intel CPU but only on LGA775. i7 core users, wait abit. .

Seems like with the release of SG05, endless possibilities are appearing.

First look:

Pros:
1. pci-e x16 slot
2. Wireless Lan on board (Don't think anyone will use wireless lan for gaming)
3. Hybrid SLI (Same as the J&W, Hybrid CF)
4. Yes, available in SG. Well, soon lah, got local distro here.

Cons:
1. 2 x Sata only
2. Audio connectors for multiple speakers setup (space taken up by wireless device, no big deal as some of us uses optical out. Those who are not, do consider )
3. Price unknown, will let you guys know asap. The price, well, those ppl who know what Intel itx board i have will know how much does a itx w/ pci-e x16 cost. hahahahaha. hopefully, zotac won't burn our pocket like the industry mobo makers do.

My benchmarks shows 4850 Crossfire runs so much faster than one 4870!
