Games that X800 and 6600GT play ahhao Aug 3rd, 05, 10:04 AM #1 (permalink)
hi,
Am thinking of getting X800 or 6600GT from Xpertvision, may I know if any of these cards could play BF2 , Empire Earth II or older games like Call of Duty (still enjoying the multiplayer) better ? Thanks !

Both can.
If fact, older cards fx series and 9000series can play those games.

BF2 can play very well on 6600GT with any 1GB Ram or more(need disable virtual memory for optimal performance) but you need to consider the future game requirement...only suggest 6800GT can last you for 3-5 years and get Pixel Shader 3.0 found in nVidia card only for realistic gaming experience

anyway, crossfires mobos are now out..
the Radeon Xpress 200Ps support it..
I would recommend that u get the ATI X800XL that is selling for onli 539 at somewhere i saw it... (Cybermind? not sure though.. do a quick scan on all the price lists - this is cheap because it is a vanilla card)

Comapre this : 6600GT -> 8pipelines and its 128bit
X800XL - > 16pipelines and its 256bit
