Is my gfx card too hot?

| I was playing Halo on my Leadtek 6600GT (factory overclocked to 550/1125), when I started to notice artifacting. I alt-tabbed out and checked the gfx temperature and it said 100 degrees. Is that a bit excessive? I didn't get artifacting on 3dmark05 or HL2/CS:S, not sure what the temperature was in those games. The normal operating temperature while idle is around 65-70 degrees. The card shouldn't be artifacting at stock speeds right? |

If fan died, it will almost immediately die. A lot of the factory overclocked cards do not test with RTHDRIBL. I suggest that the threadstarter use RTHDRIBL to test your card thermal problem: http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/rthdribl/ If it crashes go change. In fact, I encourage those with factory overclocked cards to use this one, to compensate for the lack of testing done by the factory .... LOL. |

| My previous one was idling at 51 degrees and load at 70+ degrees. |
