Sidewinder x8 mouse + Cloth mouspad vkvkvvk Apr 20th, 09, 12:45 PM #1 (permalink)
Will this combinaion have problem? I heard that there are some people with the skipping problem. There are also people saying they have no problem with this combination

Any one can confirm this? I am using Razor Goliathus speed mouse pad.

Any help would be appreciated.

Update: the skipping issue is a mousepad problem, I have confirmed on two mice. Too bad the best mousepads are cloth! Wheel still sucks.

Still loving my func 1030 surface. No cloth mouse mats can match it. And no, I don't have skipping problems when using a sidewinder X8 mouse on it.

i have noticed the skipping problem when using a cloth pad (ordinary one). Also the mouse is not slick enough for me. maybe because it is heavier on the bottom end. will be looking for a hard mat for this mouse during the weekend.

skipping can be noticed by setting dpi to 2000 then slowly dragging the mouse.

You will notice that the cursor will jump about 10px when slowly moving the mouse.

I think best to use a hard surface pad for this mouse.
