SATA/SATA II with Hard Disk RPM Holland Close Nov 23rd, 05, 02:00 PM #1 (permalink)
Will SATA, especially SATA II, be limited by a 7200RPM hard drive?

What are the recommended hard disk speeds to fully take advantage of SATA and SATA II?

SATA II takes the cap off the old 100mbps IDE to 300mbps.

SATA II drives have very very big burst speed.

SATA II RAID for 7200RPM drive give you optimal results.

but.. 10k drive still have faster response with its faster seek time...
