installed kaspersky anti hacker >>> it keep blocking this dcom hijack , then everytime make my com cant use internet (BT dl/ul 0kbs, MSN disconnect, cant surf web)


i uninstalled it and installed Avast professional, it can run auto protect but everytime i switch on the main antivirus program it auto close by itself, MSN also now auto close by itself, Windows media player i cant even open. damnit~~~ reinstal all liao still the same problem!!


other than reformat windows got other suggestion~? damn sian to backup all and reformat again (TT)

bro u might wanna edit registry values to prevent it from being loaded..whatever the program is. OR use another pc to clean and clear ur this hdd worst worst...then yea full reformat.

This kind of thing sure give u trouble when u try to remove. Like the MSN thing when u know who block u which i later found out to be a virus. I uninstall then cannot remove. I damn sian lor somemore on my main com and is a shared computer. So try my luck try delete the folder in C: and managed to succeed as i restart then log on straight away delete before i can connect to the internet.

I wanted to format then later lazy install back all the things. But lucky i managed to remove

I used Kaspersky software and didnt have this issue...

check in the setting for the amount of moderation in place...
Installing too many apps of the same kind cause corruption

I would advice reformat XP for a clean start as these problems you are faced with can be hard to resolve.

Also to ensure easy data backup, u can partiton your HDD into 2 partition. So the 2nd partition can be used as for storage like what i do. However, u have a risk of having once the HDD dies all your data gone. I backup my files in the HDD itself and also got external HDD which i plug in once in a while to do a backup on the other partition.

thanks for the advice guys! will set about doing as u all have suggested! i think a clean format is unavoildable already .. basket!! just wanted to try the kaspersky software suite, din noe it conflicted so much with avast (which was initially installed prior to installing kaspersky)
