There is 8 tiny chip at the side of the PCI-E slot. 1st PCI-E slot has 16 tiny chips....Dunno electically fixed or bios support. What I know is that when SLI, both are 8x/8x and SLI score not much different from 16x/16x on X58 platform

Sorry to revive this thread..just wondering..by raising the vcore so high until 1.6v how come you overclockers don't worry about the long term effects on your CPUs ah? What exactly is a safe vcore to be working on 24/7?

Some I dunno but there are some RMAsters around ie. masters well honed in the black art of RMA.

I truly fail terribly at this cos I hate breaking working stuff unless I can't help it (almost never, may be actually never), totally different perspective in life.

Haha doesn't the CPU pins melt when there's way too much voltage going thru? Like that still valid for RMA ?

LGA chips have no pins, Intel wised up and passed the buck to the mobo makers which get the raw deal with burnt/bent/broken pins.

Other peoples' view on 1.52V, YMMV
