I am building a complete top notch system from the groud up and I need some of your thoughts and tips.
This is about storage.

I have read something about hard disk over this last week and I am confused about some information. soo if you can help me I apreciate.

1-Basicaly what is the diference between SATA and Paralel ATA? Wich one is best for speed?

2-What is Raid? and configuration 0 and 1?

3-I read that Raid is used with two identical HHDs and then it use ti simulate one HDD. How this work? Does it double the speed by reading diferent parts of the same information on two Hdds with the same information? Does it double the capacity?

4- Wich brand and model do you recomend for top speed regardless of money? (In the SATA arena and the SCSI arena)
