    If I allow some of the participants to submit without the full details, it will cause unhappiness to those who had followed the rules.

    Initially, when the rules were drawn up, I had already foreseen such cases. My plan at that time was to immediately reject any submissions that do not conform to the rules.

    But now when the thing is actually happening, its much harder to do it. I want this to be a fun event.

    We are VR-Zone forumers after all.

    In a bid to make everyone happy, here's some of the changes.

    All entries submitted for today's ranking (Monday) which does not satisfy the requirements for the following items:

    4b) System Photo
    4c) Motherboard Photo

    Will incur a one time 2 points penalty deduction.

    Entries that does not even satisfy the requirements for 4a) Score Screenshot and 4d) PCMark 7 Score Link will be considered null and void.

    ====================================================

    After Monday 2359H, eg. Tuesday 0000H; all entries submitted will only need to satisfy the requirements for 4a) Score Screenshot and 4d) PCMark 7 Score Link.

    However participants will need to submit 4b) System Photo and 4c) Motherboard Photo for their highest PCMark 7 score by 30 June 2359. 4b) and 4c) submitted needs to satisfy the requirements as stated, otherwise the participant will not be considered for the competition including the Lucky Draw.

    The Lucky Draw chance is either 0, 1 or 2. No more than that. Submitting multiple times still have the same chance, it doesn't change.

    I was thinking of whether i should do it as well.

    I will just put the rankings and the points allocated. The PCMark 7 score will be revealed after the competition ends.

    This bit of gray area should make it more exciting. =)

    However, as stated, they will get a total of two Lucky Draw chances if they used an ASUS graphics card.

    This is to allow an equal chance for everyone who participates.

    However participants are allowed to use as many approved motherboards as they wish, we will just take the highest PCMark 7 score submitted.

    Notice that the point system were tweaked so participants ranked differently will get different points but the difference is not very large.

    This will allow a fair chance for anyone to win the competition and also encourage participants with a new higher PCMark 7 score to submit them.

    If we were using the old set of rules, it will just be a clear cut win for the highest PCMark 7 score and anyone with an insane score can just submit at the last minute of the competition. The feeling ain't good for those who actively participate.

    The new rules are to help more people to have a greater chance of winning so it should encourage more people to try. I don't know why some are saying this new rules are worse?

    There will be no decrease in the participants because on Monday, those who submitted their score will be saved to the database and for everyday, that same score will be used to rank and points are given to them. So you can just submit once on Monday and get points everyday till end of competition.

    So the number of people being listed in the rankings will only increase and never decrease.

    The new rules are implemented to make this competition more interesting and exciting, to prevent participants from submitting their scores together at the last minute and also to reward those who are participating actively in this competition.

    eg. John who submitted an insanely high PCMark 7 score during the last week of the competition will have no chance of winning as he participated in the later stages which cost him alot of points.

    So please spread the word to those interested in participating.

    The new rules will kick in on Monday, 6th of June 0000H. Submissions from this moment on till 6th of June 2359H will be sorted and ranked for Monday's ranking.

    This should give ample time to plan, buy, build, overclock, bench for the competition. Do make full use of this weekend. Gogogo!~

    I will also be awarding MacClipper 5 points for this competition for participating actively and submitting the only valid entry.

    Thanks!

    A submit PCMark 7 score of 5000 on Monday.
    B submit PCMark 7 score of 4500 on Monday.

    Total 2 participants.

    For total number of participants less than 10,

    Ranked 1st for the day: 20 points
    Ranked 2nd for the day: 18 points
    Ranked 3rd for the day: 17 points
    Ranked 4th for the day: 16 points
    Ranked 5th for the day: 15 points
    Ranked 6th for the day: 14 points
    Ranked 7th for the day: 13 points
    Ranked 8th for the day: 12 points
    Ranked 9th for the day: 10 points
    So for Monday's ranking,

    A gets 20 points.
    B gets 18 points.

    On Tuesday, B submit PCMark 7 score of 4900.
    A never submit anything.

    A gets 20 points.
    B gets 18 points.

    On Wednesday, B submit PCMark 7 score of 5050.
    A never submit anything.

    A gets 18 points.
    B gets 20 points.

    On Thursday, C submit PCMark 7 score of 8000.
    The rest cant get any higher scores.

    A gets 17 points.
    B gets 18 points.
    C gets 20 points.

    So total points accumulated so far:
    A = 20 + 20 + 18 + 17 = 75
    B = 18 + 18 + 20 + 18 = 74
    C = 20

    A is leading in the points.

    Hope you can understand.

    Points are given daily based on the ranking.
