Preview: Asrock Fatal1ty Z68 Professional Gen3 Louislkw Jul 5th, 11, 10:35 AM #1

Just received this motherboard yesterday from Asrock and would like to share some pictures here.

During the Computex held in Taiwan this year, Asrock had announced the launch of Z68 family motherboard included its high end model Professional Series which featured the next generation PCIe 3.0. Currently, there is no support for the new Gen3 (CPU limited) and need to wait for Ivy Bridge CPU to fully unleash the bandwidth of Gen3 with a BIOS update since the Ivy Bridge CPU are compatible with current LGA1155 socket.

The main feature of Z68 chipset over P67 chipset is the support of Lucid Virtu and Intel Quick Sync Technology. Benchmarks and testing were done on some previous Asrock P67 motherboard and the variation between the P and Z chipset is not varying much.

Let try some change in style. What you guys want to see (benchmarks and testing)? Pls post here and try my best to come up with the result. If anything that is technically specific that I can’t answer, I will seek the technical support from Asrock Taiwan. The email response is very fast from them.
