For gaming mice,

I recommend that the analysis be done in this manner:

1. Which mouse's grip style fits your hands better?

2. Which mouse has enough buttons to fit your needs?

Like for myself, I find the Razer Mamba to be perfect for manipulating my lab equipment in imaging blood vessels even though the laser super sucks.

I come from a comfort and functionality first.

I don't game much these days so I can't really advise you on this...But

1. Make sure the sensor is good so you don't get fragged

2. Are all the buttons easily accessible? No point buying a mouse with buttons you can't reach

3. Consider other mice brands first then see if you are willing to increase your budget to accommodate the mouse that you desire

I have to say that the Spawn is a great mouse. It has been fighting against the Deathadder to be my favourite.

Not to sure about the Xornet but the Spawn is said to have the better sensor after you update the firmware.
Input Fetish!

Didn't expect CM products will get approval from you, I guess CM has upped their game.

Cooler Master Storm department certainly upped their performance although they still feel cheap(exclude meachanical keyboards).

Given that I got my Spawn at $39, I ain't complaining about the cheapness compared to Razer.
