SLS 24th May 2008 - more options for the ITX crowd.. :) Dreamslacker May 25th, 08, 01:42 AM #1

Spotted something really nice over in the Square today... Just for those looking at building a compact yet decent HTPC or those who just need to reclaim estate space!

A new mini-ITX chassis from Inwin for those who find the KPC/ A-open options too limited

Available from the same shop, the ATI Radeon 2400Pro PCI card fits without a hitch. No more filing down the heatsink to stick the card in!
Pictured with the Intel D201GLY2A. Also note the 80mm ventilation fan beside the CPU HSF.

The 2400Pro has been fitted with an optional low-profile bracket that spans across two slots.
There's more than enough clearance between the card and the harddrive cage so no worries here.

The low-profile bracket allows the use of dual-outputs.
There are more than enough ventilation holes to ensure that nothing suffocates.

Which HTPC for HD would be complete without the ability to read Blue-ray or HD-DVD discs?
Also included in the package are the brackets and faceplate for mounting a slim-type optical drive alongside a 3.5" device like a card-reader.

That being said, how much is this casing then? I mean, if its in the 150++ region, why not just get a Silverstone SG-01 / SG-02? Looks better and fits both matx and itx just in case the user wants to upgrade
