I actually don't have a proper fan controller. Am using the on on my case. Might pick up a couple of Scythe ones to sell. The 6-eyed one looks cool lol

Since everyone talking about fans.. Anyone have experience with phanteks 120/140mm fans? Seems like phanteks is mimicking noctua's products pretty closely.. Wonder what quality is like..

I had the Noctua 120mm and 140mm brown fans both pwm and non-pwm fans that came with the NH-D14. They're decent, but again, weaker than the the GTs and louder than the cougars. Using GTs on the NH-D14 @ 1500rpm achieved lower temps consistently than even dual noctua 140mm fans by a few degrees and I mount/dismount often enough so that you can't attribute the temp change due to inconsistencies in tim/mounting. Probably better differentials if you run them full bore at 1800+rpm but I hate the noise at that level.
Exactly the same iirc. Blades and frame are same. Didn't open my AP-14 the last time thou.

Visually it's a AP15 with a slower motor. Have heard that the AP14 has significantly less chance of tonality issues when slowed down vs AP15. Discontinued IIRC already though.

It's not discontinued. I'm using only AP14 for 120mm.
