X850XT or X1800XL or 7800GT ? diamond Nov 2nd, 05, 10:54 PM #1

Hi there,

I need some expert advice : Which card is better? I saw rought post on 7800 GT issue. That probably will deter me from getting that card.

THank you all for the feedback. Guess most of them go for the 7800GT. I am going to set up a new PC using AMD. Havnt try AMD before. Probably will go for AMD 4400 (x2),
MB (not sure what to get)
GC will get 7800 GT

Btw, I was at SLS and one shop showed me a Giga MB, model GV something, that come with dual 6600GT. the mark performance shown is better then X850T !!! Anyone saw that before?

For the time being, 7800GT is the bang for the buck. Unless there is X1800XT or 7800Ultra, then have to make hard choice on this two card.

Even if there is, 7800GT would still be better in terms of price for performance. Flagship cards are never value for money.

I seconded that. But, I will go for Flagship if there is really a 'flagship':

Hope X1800XT out soon so that nvidia would launch 7800GTX 512mb version with the core at 550 and memory at 1800
