    R744 Autocascade

    Heya

Sometime ago I decided to make autocascade for my usage

    Rotary 1HP, new 1,9kW condenser, captube, gas R290/R600 + co2 etc.

Scheme (my cascade doesn`t have the last SLHX)

    Few photos of uninsulated unit.

i like this autocascade its very nice and clean job instead of the last one

maybe little more tuning and you will reach the goal?!, -100C

i read your girlfriend was very helpfull and she deserves the afford too

whats exactly high pressure? i think u said its +0,3bar lowside, right?

At -83*C on evap lowside pressure was ~ -0,5bar, highside maybe ~8bar.

At normal work I`m trying to calibrate it to run at 15/0bar (load).

about that -100*c...It`s hard work to do, I will try to reach that temp with co2 one more time, but I`m not sure that I can do it I will be glad when at load I will see -70*C (155W dummy load)

hey luke, whats the mix of R290+Co2 in percent?, why do u use R600? i think it isnt needed.

for R290+Co2 its a very good temp, i reached about the same without freezing the suctionline or evap.

maybe u could get ethylene and add some, because HX temps with about -50C would be enough!

pressure is also down, maybe there isnt condensing enough R744, with 10bar HD and -40C it would condense everything, maybe try to add some more R744 and it will go down to -90C with little vacuum (-0,1)

    hm, in percents...I don`t know.

About R600, I can`t get pure propane, so I must use propane-butane mix.

Ohhh, I would have ethylene, my friend ryba has it, but don`t wanna borrow or sell some :| I think that R1150 should work very fine in that autocascade.

I want to go under -90*C, like in my previous autocascade for XS Auto-C competition, here`s the photo :

2 bad he wont give/sell some to ya. -.-

    these are great temps!

did you got any problems with freezing?

i checked and i think 60/40% (R290/R744) works very good.

thx for posting your project here! very aprecciated.

i think youre really turning into an autocascade master! or even turned?

that is such a sweet job luke!! very skillful job on the pipe in pipe HX... personally i tried a big pipe filled with lots small pipes hx i know the difficulty in brazin to isolate stage 1 and 2.

i love the looks as well, this isnt the same one at the polish ASUS party? what a waste, this looks killa.
any icing problems, or the r290 takes care of that?

no icing problems that one isn`t that same like at asus party, it`s new autocascade. Old unit don`t exist now

Thanks MaReNoStRuM too for nice words, I love autocascades I want to build 2 or 3 stager but...don`t have money for gasses, even for 1150
