can i ask a dumb question? What is media player for? Is it use to play movies from your HDD to a big screen like TV? So should 1 buy just the player or with the HDD combo?

I am thinking of buying an additional 1TB HDD as my current 160GB HD is fast running out of disc space. However I am also considering a media player so that i can watch those movies that i downloaded on big screen. So what choice should i choose?

If u already have a ext HDD or thumbdrive, u can just plug it into a media player with no HDD attached. Some player like the AC.R HD mini plays even through external DVD rom. Media player with WIFI means that you can stream movies from your computer straight onto your TV without having to connect via HDD.
