@redpixy

Das keyboard their quality not bad one. Now that the keyboard has 2 seperate usb connectors, I don't think will have any issue. And also the fn key that replaces the window keys is solely for multimedia controls only. You won't be able to remap it or use it as a windows key.

Initially wanted a filco, but after trying out both the brown keys and black keys in sls I was hoping for blue switch filcos. But at the time of the filco mo, that wasn't possible and since froze was doing the swc mo, I got the DAS instead. And I enjoy typing on it a lot!

Now if there was only a way to merge the Logitech LCD screen on the DAS....I wish...

Oh and don't forget the 18 macro keys and hopefully a slide wheel for volume control + backlit keys...

It depends on users, but I have no use for features like lcd screen, macro keys, multimedia controls and illuminated keys. The feeling of the tactile and clicky keys alone is good enough. Now I can type faster then when I was previously using a saitek eclipse, even in the dark.

Yeah, but I wish there was a option to add such features

Backlit keyboard is just for aesthetics

Thanks! I just got the same reply from the Das tech support desk as well.

Wow that's so awesome. The last keyboard I've seen without the Windows key gotta be from the Windows 3.1 era. And even the right Windows key is hardly ever touched for present keyboards that have Windows keys.

Even laptops remove only the right Windows key, and never the left one.

@van_van

All Das keyboards except the Silent series are fitted with blue switches. I believe the Silent series uses either brown or black switches.

Actually I wonder if you use 2 USB ports...will it suffice for N-Key rollover o.O

If it doesn't...you use PS2...but how will the USB ports get powered ?

If you use PS2 and USB...will the keyboard be smart enough to detect PS2 for keyboard input and USB acting as a hub and no keyboard functions ?

The current Das Keyboard S series have 2 usb connectors. One for the keyboard and the other for the usb hub. For the previous version, if you were to use a usb>ps2 adapter, you lose the usb hub.
