Tempered glass better. If accidentally drop something, you get many pieces of the stand. The design looks simple, very zen zen...=)

1. Glass is normal glass. Tempered glass will drive the price to more than double.
2. Standard glass strength base on this length is about 20 to 30 kg. But its very dependent in the final environment the glass is located.
A 32" TV is about 15 to 25 kg. It should be able to take the weight but not really recommended. Its a monitor stand, not a TV stand
3. Shorter length and breath is possible subjected to minimum 5 pieces. Cost price will be the same.
4. Higher stand possible, just increase the legs by 2. meaning 2 legs screwed into each other. will cost $20 more.

boo u need tempered glass.

normal ones are extremely dangerous on constant load. plus your support is on the four corners.

imagine in the off chance it shatters in front of your face as its a lcd.

cost vs safety.

Safety first! Awaiting price on the tempered glass version. Have seen 'shattered' tempered glass, so i think worth the difference to pony up.
