Interest Check: R/C Zero Gravity Mini Climb Wall Car Jens3n Sep 21st, 09, 08:54 AM #1 (permalink)
Zero Gravity Micro R/C Car
This radio-controlled, zero gravity, mini racing car is introduced as “the next generation of upside down-driving vehicles” – a smaller version of those wall-climbing R/C toys you might have come across before. "Believe it or not, this sporty little racer is capable of driving across any smooth surface; horizontal, vertical or even completely upside down." Here’s a video clip of the zero gravity micro car in action:

Zero Gravity Micro features an advanced Venturi suction system that works a bit like a vacuum cleaner. Special fans create massive down-force to keep it glued to the wall whilst flexible skirts around the chassis ensure the vacuum remains sealed. You control the action via a stylish twin toggle infra-red transmitter and the vehicle itself is powered by a rechargeable battery. Simply charge and go. Features: * The Zero Gravity Micro will climb your walls and ceilings * To show low battery, the car’s headlights will flash so remove from the wall/ceiling to avoid a plonk on the head * The car charges directly from the IR remote control * Fully functioning headlights and taillights * 1:43 scale of a real sports car The Zero Gravity Micro R/C Car is available from Firebox for £29.95 (ard S$68). Zero Gravity Micro R/C Car - buy at Firebox.com Interest check to see anyone interested? Pricing is around $40 - $45 per piece, if response is good, can even negotiate with the supplier to lower the price.

I suspect zero gravity because it has sticky tyres, so after a while need to clean the tyres and also will be very slow because it stick to the surface, but quite interesting and fun just to drive on vertically, upside down the video didn't show.

well not the tyres sticky problem here is the video
It inside the car got a part of donno wat like fan make him anti gravity
If is sticky tyres the car cant drive on wall in fast speed sure will drop.
And the car on wall can turn 360 degree so i don think is the tyres problem

its just a fan to create sufficient down force for the unit to run up walls.

its also one of the techniques that was used to break the speed record for RC's
testing?

i saw this toy at bugis action city before. it uses a suction fan below to allow it to "stick" to the wall. thus creating the "zero gravity" effect.
