Anyone knows if there is an app that can allow sms through the phone dial pad instead of the qwerty pad? Thanks!

Just change your input method to use keypad instead of qwerty keyboard. It's somewhere under your system settings.

"Touch Input" will let you switch between QWERTY and Keypad.

No there is no way to change it. I heard have to download an application for this for android phones. I am using the magic. Don't know about the new Hero though.

I thought default Magic keyboard allows u to switch between QWERTY & Keypad??

Otherwise you need to install the HTC_IME/CIME keyboard, let's u choose between Compact QWERTY, Phone keypad & normal QWERTY.

I prefer the newer HTC keyboard as it has long press for numbers.
