I have a Sony Ericsson C905 and I accidentally dropped it quite recently. I picked it up and the screen shows "Insert SIM card". Then, I took out the sim card, and put it in again, but still doesn't work.

I then tried my spare Starhub Prepaid SIM card, and it works. Then I started borrowing sim cards to try. Here is what I tried:

Can work:
2 Starhub prepaid

Can't work:
2 Singtel postpaid
1 M1 postpaid
1 Starhub mobile broadband
1 Starhub postpaid

I don't think it is locked to the starhub network, as the starhub one can't work either. One note is that I wasn't able to obtain other telco's prepaid sim cards to try.

I also reflashed the firmware, from R1EA033 RED52 to R1FA035 RED53. It still accepts only Starhub Prepaid sim cards. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

If there's anyone out there who've came across this kind of thing, please post your comments here.. Any comments also can, as I'm really desperately want to find out what is causing this apparently accept only prepaid sims issue.. Feel free to let me know of certain details I didn't put up here so I can clarify too.. Really appreciate a lot for all your helps...
