Star Trek Vs. Wolverine celluloidheaven May 8th, 09, 04:57 PM #1 (permalink)
The first 2 summer blockbuster!

Which one would you want to watch more?

If you watch both already, which one you like better?

What do you think?

I saw both already. Actually, i wanted to watch Star Trek more cos i wasn't that impress with wolverine's trailer and read some not so good review about it while Star Trek's review has been positive through out.

Wolverine:
Maybe so hyped up til i got high expectation, i was disappointed by it's convenient storyline (not totally true to original story) and stale action sequence and effects. TOO CGed! I saw it on 2k digital and it visual effects were quite obvious at some point. Little screen time for other mutants which is like the selling point to me.

Star Trek:
Awesome! Great Visual and Audio effects with a nice packed storyline that got something for everyone, at a pace that's so smooth that when the movie ends, you thought you have just finished the introduction wanting to move on to the main chapter! You will enjoy this movie!

Ok, what's your comment?

Review: It all Happened in the Supermarket

X Apples. Story about one special apple with a hard core. Also includes various apples from different states.

Star Orange. The story of how one seed became a prized orange of the entire Orange fleet.

While both fruits relied heavily on artificial flavourings and advertising. They both did manage to satisfy the taste buds of hardcore fruit lovers everywhere.

Some have said that 'X Apples:Seed' lack the variety that the previous Apples films had. While this Apple film concentrated heavily on its juice factor, it neglected the fruit itself. The fruit felt pre-packaged. I quote "It didn't taste like a normal GM apple but a Clone apple."

Now, Star Orange was about taking on an old flavour and giving it some MSG. Interesting. While some will definately argue that the old flavour is still BEST, I would agree that we have all gotten bored of the same old, same old. It still wasn't a Grade A Orange but it was still fairly decent enuff to eat.

My verdict:

Between X-Apple & Star Orange, I would go with the Transforming Banana.

I bet u will never regret watching Star Trek if you are a 'full-time' Star Trek fan. My friend who was not an avid Star Trek fan was quite fascinated by the movie. The graphic was no doubt the best of all the Hollywood movies. Superb!! The show almost set my body to full aderineline mode.

I am not a Star Trek fan and did'en even had a clue what Star Trek was exactly about. No idea why, but decided to catch the movie earlier today

It was my first ever Star Trek movie and i have to say, coming from a person who don't really like fiction and especially science fiction movies - i found it really very nice. Story line was something different, thought you could predict sometimes what's gonna happen next

The graphics was ooooh boy - amazing !!

4/5 popcorn from me

I thought i would fall asleep in star trek but nope it proved other wise. Fantastic GI and story line is nice too but the flow of the movie is abit weird imho..

PS: the older spock is the real original spock from the very first star trek!!and one more think i think pointy ear guys are kawaii

Wolverine: The only candy is wolverine aka hugh jackman. Other than tat its boring

wolverine not that nice, so-so only.. I think it lacks the action scene and the ending is like anti-climactic..

want to watch star trek, transformers and terminator, those are MUST WATCH movies.

Have watched Wolverine......and like some of the guys said, its an average movie...

The plot is very straightforward and fight scenes only so-so ....its not like outright impressive that would leave your mouth wide open..

Should have gone to watch Star Trek instead as some friends do recommend this more than Wolverine...

Anyway, Angels and Demons is here from today.....this one is a must watch

I watched Star Trek and Wolverine immediately after that. Sorta had a mini marathon.

Star Trek was completely awesome. It makes the graphics of Star Wars seem like so amateur! The story flow was so smooth! From serious to thrilling scenes and suddenly some funny gag pops up and pulls the entire theatre into a laughing spree. Just awesome! Btw, I've never been a Star Trek fan. All these years I thought Star Trek was a dumb series. Only watched this time as the graphics on the advertisement looked good. Didnt expect it to be so outstanding!
AWESOME!

Wolverine was.. Just a complete let down. Especially after watching Star Trek, the graphics for Wolverine just looked so fake, its painful to watch. Especially when Wolverine first "officially" introduces his new shiny claws to us in the toilet, it looked like some lame graphic-add-on. Story wise, not much of a twist and the final boss is somewhat u already expected. Altho it still IS nice, I just find they have exaggerated and made Wolverine too godly. Its just.. Dumb. If hes so godly, they wouldnt really need the other Xmen right? Just send him to fight and he'll kill+auto regen at the same time.

At the end of the day, Star Trek > Wolverine.
