This morning on channelnewsasia, 938FM radio host Melanie Oliveiro gave one of her WORST movie reviews ever....

She rated the Transformers 2 movie 1 out of 5 stars...WTF??

For god's sake, its obvious this is more of a guy's movie...if you watch it in your perspective, of course you would not enjoy it...

Miss Oliverio should just stick to watching artistic movies, or girl-ly movies instead as such action ones are certainly low on her scale...

(Ironically, even an artistic piece like The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, an Oscar nominated movie, was rated as 2 out of 5 stars from Miss Oliverio....)

who care about her comment (Miss Oliverio)

i perfer to listen to many ppl comment about the movie rather then a single person

i mean so what if it Straits Times or some other critic.

when most ppl comment about the movie either mostly good or bad comment, they cant be wrong.

Just because most people say its good or bad, that doesn't mean they are right..

Take the annual Academy Awards for example....Out of the many movies shown in the year, only few are being nominated? Oh please, there are many good movies sometimes that aren't even mentioned..

If you have watched this year's Academy Awards, The Dark Knight was NOT even nominated for Best Picture when many people like myself feel it should have been...

Bottom line is, at the end of the day, you're your own judge to the movie.....regardless of who says what about the movie...what you feel may not necessarily be what other people feel, and vice versa

like i say i dun care about if they Academy Awards or not. even if it win all the awards, i will not watch unless i know the good and bad of the movie

I will read about what other many people say about the movie rather ten a single person comment(so what if he is a critic)

What i feel may not necessarily be what other people feel, and vice versa.

of course is not. if not why should i read about people making either the comment is good or bad about the movie.

First get all the fact.

know the pro and con of the movie ppl make comment about it.

I need to know about the comments before i can judge the movie if i want to go watch or not.

After all it just a comment

Bottom line is, at the end of the day, i need to know what i watching. and what most ppl reply about the movie, and work on that fact. if not good, wait for the dvd release and rent it

a reviewer is like a personal movie tester. You simply compare their reviews with your preference than choose the reviewer that suits your taste. There are a billion and one movie critics around the world so so and find the one u like.

Doesn't have to be a singaporean.
