Completed BMT in Tekong, got posted to Police OCT at HTA.

Yes I know I'm really lucky and am very grateful. But besides knowing how lucky I am, I have no idea what this posting entails.

Anybody care to fill me in? What will I be doing/learning, for how long is my course, what's a typical day like, what could I possibly be doing after my course, etc.

Would really appreciate any info, absolutely in the dark here! Thanks!

It'll be 9 months in HTA, no need to go botak AFAIK, and good pay.

just for the record, its not slack coming into Police. It can be hectic

You will go through a 7-month (not 9 months anymore) training and pass out as a NS Inspector. Police basic training for all ranks is largely theoretical but of course there'll be PT and marching drills daily.

Dont expect to be given any respect when you pass out lol. You will be doing the same job as the other NSFs, you rank does not carry any weight because this is Police where its a whole lot fairer than the Army No one's going to call you Sir.. That's also good for you because you wont be given the responsibility of the regular Inspectors.

Its the best option really, because you'll get paid the most for doing the same jobs as the other Special Constables (Police NSF of ranks up to Sergeant)

Lucky sia.. And yea after u POP, UNLESS u get posted back to HTA to become Company commander, u will get posted to office jobs outside. And if your being posted out, no one will call u sir. Maybe only cisco officers inwhich they call everyone sir haha. But if your being posted to HTA as Coy commander, SONG BO.
