Hi guys, I am in Polytechnic, 3rd year right now. I graduate next year in about Feb - April. I'm not sure either. I'd like to know when will NS enlist me, roughly which month? please share your experience with me. thank you.

LOL.. Why u so kan chiong? Cant wait to do NS arh bro? anyway, based on my experience, i receive CMPB letter for medical check up on June.. Then, i went to medical check up in September.. Than, receive another CMPB letter for the actual reporting day based on ur units on mid of April..

To summarize it all, from the date u go to the medical check up to the actual reporting and enlistment date, it will takes u abt 6-9 months.. so u can slack, rest or work during that period of time.. hope this helps

yea..actualli depends on ur luck? i got some friends who juz graduated, then nx month enlisted... most likely u will be enlisted in june? sep? dec? haha..calling them is ur best option..

one more thing to note: your NAFA test(fitness test)
if you are silver and above- better add +1 month to enlistment
say example..suppose to go in june, likely end up going in in july, etc etc


only those fail NAFA test go in earlier for PTP,(to get you to pass fitness test). IIRC

I also poly batch, graduated in Feb 07 but went for medical at the end of Jan. Enlisted in June 07. All my classmates enlisted either Jun or Sept, with a few in Dec.

sadly bro, after 31 December 2009 intake, all those who goes to PTP phase, will enter 2 months earlier instead of the current 1 month.. they just changed already

so is it 2 years +2 months??

to what i recall was that i passed my NAFA then, so had a "discount " of 2 months, so while others nafa fail went in in june, i went in in july, ( 1 month later) however i also ORD earlier by 1 month(may) while my other buddys who fail NAFA ORD in june.

so i am not sure if the 2 months you mention is additional or still intergrated in the new 2years NSF serving.

No no.. from what I read from the news, its stated, even though u fail NAPFA, u will still serve MAX 2 years of NS.. Just that instead of 1 month PTP and 3 month BMT, U tio 2 month PTP and 3 month BMT..

in summary, u will go to Unit abit later and serve a longer time becoming recruit in NS BTW, this new rule will be implemented for those who enlistng from Dec 2009 onwards..
