Is not a matter of "tough" per se. Police and Army are different organisations that do different things. Of course if you are in Army they are training you to be a soldier or a related function, you need to know how to survive jungles etc.

In Police they are training you to be a law enforcer or a related function.

Army naturally has more physical training lah. Police the emphasis is on your Law and Policing. Lots of classroom based lessons daily in your Police Officer Basic Course (POBC- The Police "BMT").

Its really a matter of different training for different functions.

But do you really want to be a cop?
Do you know what the live of a cop here is like?
I would advice you to think through this questions before you consider signing on. Not that SPF isn't good but you must know what you are signing up for.

As for your question, Police NS has an intake once every 3 months. Each intake has 2 batches- one for those who pass NAFA and one for those who fail. Those who fail NAFA come in a month earlier. That month is called Prep course. So the intakes are:

1a. December (Prep course)
1b. January

2a. March (Prep course)
2b. April

3a. June (Prep course)
3b. July

4c. September (Prep course)
4d. October

Please don't make the same mistake as some of the regulars I know, signing a 5 year bond, with 3 years you can never get back just because you don't wanna serve NS in SAF. Make sure it's what you want.

Hahahaha MTE is not worth it man.. 5years trade for just 2years. U lose out in a lot of benefits if u join as MTE. Best if u would to serve your 2years first before deciding you wana sign on as a regular be it in spf or any other organisations.
