Big shit! Good luck to you.. I'm a FES too.

Section commander, lead your man to....

1. Lay obstacles and minefields
2. Breaching, clear obstacles and minefields
3. Demolition
4. Bridging, build bridges for vehicles
5. Dig trenches, firing positions and other fortifications
6. Build temporary field installations

Take care of your spine (back) and ears. We're talking about really heavy lifting and big bang such as a 20kg cratering charge.

Alternatively, you can end up as a "plant" commander. Think excavator, bulldozer and other heavy construction vehicles. Their life are definitely much better than using bare hands for the dirty job.

Lastly, the better specs will be shortlisted for EOD training. Can't disclose much because the nature of their work is classified.
