Does that mean I need to buy a phone that can support multiple wireless handsets and put those handsets in different rooms?

Read some comments about the bad voice quality on Mio. Did any one manage to get good voice quality on Mio?

Thanks.
no u dun have to... went to sign up wif mio quite some time ago... only 1 phone will be connected the the mio box. the rest of the phones can just connect to the phone jack in the wall... the ppl at singtel say nd to pay xtra $4 (one-time fee) for the adding of every xtra phones (i.e. on top of the one connected to the mio box.). normal analogue phones work wif mio.

i dun have any problems wif the voice or internet line. a few times i have the problem of echo-ing when i use my hp to call back home, as mentioned by some1 in the earlier post... but that's v seldom only. i tink twice only out of the many times i called back home.

internet wise, no probs so far. no d/c encountered. i signed the basic mio plan, but upgraded to the 10M internet plan. max d/l speeds of ard 1-1.5MBps... tested the spd using speedtest.net:

havent tried VOIP internet calls on the hp as yet.

Singtel mobile is the normal GSM mobile system.

Mio Mobile is using a VoIP/Wireless capable handphone and connected to the mio device at home/Singtel hotspots, and you can call through wireless for free, at $10.50 every month.

And if you want to use the GSM network, you still need to pay subscription.

The Mio plan has many plans within.

You can apply for Home tel (mio voice), or Mio Mobile, or mio voice + SNBB, or the "mio plan".

The "Mio Plan" itself consists of Singnet + Home phone (mio voice) + Mobile (GSM) plans, and excludes the Mio mobile.

$68 Mio plan includes SNBB 3Mbps/ iOne Plus/ Home Tel
ya... in addition to that... if u have multiple mobile plans (like for e.g. the whole family uses sintel mobile plans, they can sign up to 4 supplementary mobile plans under the mio plan. charges will come tgt as a single bill. for i-plans, subscription per mth has 10% discount, for classic/premium plans, 50% discount.
