I'm currently on Maxonline Premium (12,000Kb) using the Motorola SBG1000 Wireless(802.11b) Router Gateway. The internet connection is being shared by 3 Computers wirelessly.

I recently found out that because the actual throughput rate of 802.11b is only 5,500Kb and this is bottlenecking the 12,000Kb I should be getting.

Thus I would like to ask for my case, I'll need to purchase a Wireless G Router or will a Wireless G Access Point suffice?

And also how should I set it up? Should I turn off NAT and DHCP on the Motorola SBG1000?

Get a router, important thing is the throughput the router can sustain.

Set the SBG1000 to bridge mode, and use the router as a router.

i not very sure, but iirc, the sbg1000 got problem setting as a bridge mode. i rather get a new modem from starhub n get a new router else where.
