Prolink 9000C Enhanced Firmware &d00 Apr 16th, 07, 11:03 PM #1 (permalink)
Hi, here's a quick guide on how to flash your Prolink 9000C to this firmware which is very, very stable, has a better web interface, syncs faster to the ADSL line and has UPnP (no need to manually forward ports!).
  1. Download the CD from http://www.origo-repair.org.uk/ and burn to a CD-R
  2. Turn off and unplug all cables from your modem
  3. Open your modem up (4 screws hidden below the rubber feet)
  4. Take out and place circuit board on a safe working area
  5. There is an open 2-pin jumper. Short it using a jumper (from hard disk, etc)
  6. Plug in and turn on your modem
  7. Unplug ALL USB devices from your computer
  8. Plug your modem via the USB port (you will need an appropriate USB cable)
  9. Shut down your computer and boot into the router repair CD
  10. Follow the instructions of the repair CD - flash the JMK firmware
  11. Refer to this link for more instructions for flashing: http://www.routertech.org/pages.php?page=20 (you should refer to it during flashing)
  12. After flashing, power off, remove jumper and reassemble.
  13. JMK firmware default user is "admin", default password is "epicrouter"
*: If you do this badly you will void the warranty

Disclaimer: This is posted PURELY FOR INFORMATION. I have tried it and it worked very well for me. If I brick your modem I bear no responsibility.

You have been warned!
