DLink vs DLink (Wireless Router) Leaper Apr 18th, 07, 10:36 PM #1 (permalink)
DLink DGL-4300 Vs DIR-655

Hi Guys
- Planning to get a Wireless Router soon
- Purpose : Torrents, Gaming.
- Currently using SBV5120(MOL Express 6Mbps)
- I Know the DIR-655 is using Wireless N, but not sure whether good for torrents or not, getting D/Cs or not, see alot of reviews, DGL-4300 seems good. Might u/g later to MOL Ultimate 32Mbps(SB5101, not SB6100 )

Advices, Suggestions welcomed

655 ftw It will be flashable to post N firmware once it's confirmed.

4300 is more for lan gaming rather then net gaming.

DIR 655 is rock solid, torrenting is a breeze. Worth the money spent.
But what i read about the 5120 is that it drops connection, but theres a new firmware out.

Any one using this adapter?
http://www.dlink.com/products/?sec=0&pid=527

Richneo, which adapter u using ah?

I'm still thinking whether to get DGL-4300 or DIR-655, only got one pc @ home, wont use SB6100 now(expensive/100Mbps "Will i utilize?"), might get SB5101 cable modem(upto 32Mbps for ultimate plan)

Any one of u router pros tried/tested SB6100 + DIR-655 combo so far?

I think end of the day, it depends on how hardcore your internet usage is.
For me, my BT runs 24/7 constantly downloading stuff.
If you're on premium, might as well invest in the modem and plug it straight to your comp.
