my wrt54gs v4 power led keep blinking..
tried to set static ip
using tftp but no respond
ping 192.168.1.1 also request timed out

anyonw know any other way to flash the firmware?
or any place selling the flash IC?

my wrt54gs is no waranty already..

ohh, never do the pin shorting trick on ur flash module.
there's a very high chance of kill ur flash module in the process.
testing?

does it work?
else u might have to split open ur router to directly reflash ur unit.

have you tried swapping power supplies?

if the power LED is blinking it's probably a low-level problem.

as in... it might not be firmware... but maybe some chip burnt out?

have you tried unplugging, holding reset, plugging power back while holding reset, then doing a TFTP?

hm if fixing it isn't urgent to you pass the router to me. i'll see what i can do. probably will try flashing over serial using the cfe. i highly doubt yours is so bricked that you need to use jtag.
