Port forwarding configurations danielpng May 10th, 07, 10:58 AM #1 (permalink)

Hi all.. even after i configured my router, i tested the port forwarding, but it's still not opened.. and my downloading maxed out at 50+kb/s..

configurations of the router:

is there anything wrong?

The port uTorrent using is 28517, so i forward 28517, am i wrong to do that?

you need to use a static IP for portforwarding to work

believe it could be due to your software firewall (winXP) if any that has disabled the port ...

i am not sure if i'm forwarding the right port.

on the program it stated 28517, this is the port to listen to right?

or should i change my ports from 6881 to 6889?

I've already set static ip, but still have the same issue though.

Static IP is a prefer method if you are using a desktop. But DHCP should work.
I suspect it is your software firewall blocking it.
Which software firewall are you using? Check the rules first or disable initially to iron out the possibilities of software firewall causing the problem.

i'm only using the default firewall on sp2..

never mind, i try turning off the firewall, and see if there's any difference.

yar to me u seems to be block by firewall...but anyway u must also make sure your pc get connected 2nd which is your ip 192.168.1.101 or else...u confirmed get block
starting ip for default is 192.168.1.100

or else simple u can set your linksys starting ip to 101...then u put portforwarding to ip 192.168.1.100
after than just go to LAN -> properties -> internet protocol tcp/ip and add in your static ip 192.168.1.100 and dns can put to 192.168.1.1

I see you're using UPnP. Any error in the log page of your uTorrent? If all works it should map a UPnP port for you.
