Hi all, I'm new here, I've got a few questions regarding MOL. Right now, my contract with Pacnet ended and I'll be moving soon. I'm not getting a landline for my new place, so, I'm considering changing to starhub.

One big question on my mind is, I use Bittorrent very often, and if I jump over to starhub, will my torrent speeds significantly drop to a snail's pace? I know it depends on the area and such, but I'll be getting a laptop soon and frankly speaking, the MOL Express plan offers a free wireless package, which is what's attracting me to it. From what my friends told me, for Starhub, I'd have to open ports in order to use Bittorent. I'm not too sure about it, as another one of my friends said he forwarded the ports and there's no difference, it's still slow. Anyone care to enlighten me on the subject?

Mine crawing slow 24/7 when connected to router Dlink 624+ but pretty fast at nite when direct to cable modem and disabled zonealarm to use windows firewall.
Tried tweaking settings a little in router but seems doesn't help

I'm on MOL 12k btw.

My friend just subscribed to Starhub 6K at Toa Payoh. He told me he was the only person in his whole block using starhub.

So much so that his flat in Toa Payoh he had to get a technician to actually plug in the physical fiber optic cables on his floor, across through 5 flats to his house.

He said that the lazy starhub 5 years ago laid out the wiring but then left it all unplugged. technician had to plug in the wires and redo all the spoiled connectors, told me the technician was not a happy camper.

So basicly those that stay in Toa Payoh = blazing internet

Honestly, I'd rather stay at AMK. Speed slower never mind at least got eye candy to see.
