Ethernet Mac Filtering Necroire Jul 6th, 12, 08:24 PM #1

Is there anyway to do a Ethernet Mac Filtering on my modem (2wire 2701 HGV-E gateway)?
Else any alternate way to block ethernet connection thru ethernet cable?

Nope, not on your Modem. It is hard to block physical access. Unless you disable the port.
Bzzzzzzzzzzzzt Blitz.

You could maybe hook up the switch port on your gateway to another small Ethernet switch that does have an Ethernet Filtering function and do it from there. The additional switch should add very little additional latency!!
