my 10mbps plan coming tmr and i just realise that my briteport 8010 modem is not adsl2+,

could i still use my briteport 8010

is the 2wire modem reliable? or do i need to change to another modem? is the modem setup easy?

you guys talked about "bricked". what does it mean by bricked?

can anyone help me?

its ok if u disable wifi and usb and all other non essential functions, and not use DMZ

bro let me tell you something. if ur modem is near ur laptop jus use a lan cable to connect ur lappie to it. much better. if u rly bo bian must wireless, i advise you dun surf while dling thing or go too far from ur modem

am using a singnet 3mpbs wireless connection setup
everything works well
it doesnt make sense if i change to a 10mbps and i cant do a wireless setup
can anyone comment?

for wireless, whether u got 1 mbps or 1000mpbs if u suay u also will dc. now ur 3mpbs any problems? if dun have.. change to 10 shuld be no problem also. you also can try d-link routers if the 2wire doesnt work well.. btw i use lan cable, 10mbps to plug my laptop when im playing, it works better la

hmm.. everything is fine so far..

i can dl 300-400kb/s of torrent. not sure if its fast or not.

no prob other than lousy wireless signal.Maybe becos of where I place it.

max speed 2500kb/s achieved

900 kb/s max(for now) on torrent. since i dont torrent alot donno whats possible

now using the 2wire modem and works perfectly fine. lets hope all things work well for me

2wire modem work ok for me.. feel like changing but scare will mess up my prefect torrent speed.. btw got any other better "modem/router with fix line voice" combo to replace the default modem issued by singtel?
