Bro, care to advise why the speedtouch (ADSL2+ modem cum wireless) is giving a slower speed as compare my prolink modem ethernet to prolink wireless?

I was using a prolink modem and conect via ethernet cable to a prolink wireless....use speedtest .net and check, can achieve 2500-2800 download speed (upload ard 200-300 with ping ard 30-50)....

However the speedtouch modem (ADSL2+) cum wireless...I hook up but use the same speedtest.net and check...can only get 500-700 download speed....

CAny idea why is that so....?

I am on SNBB 3mbs...

Thanks for repy in advance.....

I had a static IP address and got the same message.. I changed it to obtain IP address automatically.

To do that go to network connections
Right click on your connection, (Properties)

Select internet Protocol TCP/IP and properties and choose obtain Ip automatically and DNS.

Now you can follow the steps to disable the firewall
