You're referring to fixed line service or mio Voice? Very different infra to bring you your voice service.

A higher thruput connections required a well laid and maintained phone cable

Remember the standard 2 copper wire by design(opted by most users.[Yes! Opted]) does not factor crosstalk and interference.

When I BT, I can't even even surf the net as webpages refuse to load.

Using SNBB 10mb anyway and never changed any settings pc side.

I feel the modem is screwing up everything... any advise?
If you think its not caused by the server itself or SingNet, feel free to change 3rd party lor...

Ok latest update now NO lag problem solved
Solution: 10m long lan cable
2nd problem: Need to get a router
Question: Can I shut down the router in Mio box just use it as a modem or have to buy new modem router?

Its true I can download up to 1.5mb/s on torrent but when I play online games there is massive lag spikes don't get me wrong, from experience, the mio box is an all-in-one phone modem router etc. However it cannot support gaming that's all when i have a lan wire running, there was no lag. I'll update my thread if and when i get a Nrouter XD

Ya thinking of it too... but my dad wants miotv so may still have to stick with the current modem after all.

Now with BT and online gaming somehow my bandwidth feels so choked, don't know when streaming tv how haha.

as long as its not gaming, mio box can handle it I can livestream mostly anything my dad hates wires. so $10 solution becomes a $300 dollar problem
