mainboard up the lorry?

Hi guys,

I was happily using my starhub BB with my wireless router (SMC) for years without any problem until today. I was able to connect to my router with IP however I was unable to surf net and MSN. I tried rebooting the modem together with the router a couple of times but to no avail. Even hard-resetting my router did not help. Now I can only surf thru direct connecting to modem with cat cable.

Can any gurus confirm that my router is gone before I commit myself to another new router? Thanks

Try booting up from a linux liveCD and see if can go to the internet or not.

Are you using more than PC at home?

Did you clone the MAC address of one of your PC onto the router?

Yup. 2 x pc, 1 x lappy. Never clone the MAC add leh. I bought a new router also same problem. After setting up the security, sure can't connect or connected with limit connectivity. Can only surf with no WEP/WPA. Any advice?
