M1 Fixed/mobile Broadband PinGer Aug 26th, 09, 03:18 AM #1 (permalink)
This thread is for M1 Fixed/mobile Broadband users.

I have been on M1 mobb for almost coming to 2 months, since the last computer show. I have been really satisfied with the speed. On 1mbps plan. How bout the rest of you?

First help I'll need here is :

My shub contract is up. FINALLY!! I'm thinking of jumping over to M1. I wonder if M1 fix broadband is any better than shub?

Maybe for awhile depending on the subscriber saturation in your area. Once it gets over-subscribed then it's anyone's guess, but your mileage might vary.

yah.. I'm a happy m1 customer... speeds seriously crap all over starslug.. probably because that they don't have many people using the bandwidth m1 purchased from starslug.. yet.

I'm on M1 1Mbps mobile BB too... Extremely satisfied with the speed especially during peak period, and of cuz the ridiculously low $7/mth price!

Gonna sign up for M1 Fixed BB during coming COMEX too.. Basically, seen that all reviews for M1 Fixed BB are positive..

All it needs is some positive review for the mass to rush over and saturate the network.

When I subscribed to my Suckhub mobile internet plan more than 1.5yrs back, I had just jumped over from M1 mobile plan which had super laggy and unusable speeds. Of course at that time reivews were very good and I even borrowed my friends suckhub modem to trial test at my area.

But after the recent few IT/PC shows and huge influx of subscribers I had speeds so slow that even surfing a normal webpage will cause the connection to timeout. Just look at the speedtest result in my sig. This was one of the good results. At worse points I couldn't even complete a speedtest due to everything timing out and connection dropping.

So all i can say it enjoy it while it lasts. With up-coming COMEX and SITEX I bracing for further speeds drops but at least i can fire off some angry emails and have my subscription waived for the ? time.
