Wireless@SG - Disconnection issue only for Qmax / QALA-operated sites yknyong1 Aug 31st, 09, 04:14 PM #1 (permalink)
I am a user of the wireless@SG network at Yew Tee and Bukit Panjang Mcdonalds outlets and I have been disconnected from the Internet frequently. I have previously alerted Qmax technical support on this issue, but no action has been taken since I still encounter the disconnection issue.

No connection:

So what should I do?

Just to add - I do not get any login page to enable a relogin into the network.

They did not promise you QoS. So I don't expect consistent connection.

I have similar problems before too on public networks. Restarted laptop 1-2 times and it connected to internet.

Wireless disconnection issue is always a capacity issue especially with free public networks.

So either bear with it or get your own private home broadband or mobile broadband.

It is free , what are you expect ?? For me the wireless@sg in McD is still ok. What I really know that most of wireless@sg vendors are not earning much from the free services .
