Authorized Letter For SingTel Broadband teckhooi Sep 2nd, 09, 08:50 AM #1 (permalink)
Hello everyone,

I am a new to be Singnet user. I am renting a room and staying with owner of the house. The house does not have broadband yet and i would like to apply it under my name. I went to Singtel Hello shop and they want me to write an Authorization Letter. I do not know how is the format and content should be.

Does anyone have the format or guildline of the Authorization Letter to share with me? Your help will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Cheers,

Teck Hooi

It's probably a letter giving permission from the landlord to the tenant to use the phone line for broadband. Why don't you call singtel to ask?

It's just a letter that states the owner of the premises ie. your landlord, allows you to apply for the said broadband services for the premises.

Something simple like:

I, [Landlord's name as in NRIC], NRIC: [Landlord's IC no.], owner of [Premise Address], give permission for my tenant, [Your name as in NRIC], NRIC: [Your IC/ FIN no.], to apply for [Broadband service you want to apply for], which utilizes the existing phoneline, [Phone number that service is tagged to].

Of course, you need your landlord to sign off below. Just list the landlord's name and IC number again below the signature line and don't forget to date the letter.
