My modem model number is 2wire 2700hg. Has been happening to me for a year already...today i reached the boiling point of it when it sort of "ate away" a large portion of my online game money when it caused me to dc halfway during a trade. Yes i know it may be just online assets but anyone here who has played an mmorpg will know how it feels like as if their hard playhed account got hacked.

Anyway back to the main purpose.Is the modem itself the cause of this error? I hope anyone who has got this problem can tell me what to do, even calling in a singtel technician did not help...Any of you changed your modem? cos i was really planning to change my modem to an adsl wireless gateway. But dont wish to spend the extra money if this problem still persists.

this sounds like a combination of the modem and the quality of your line.
wat did the technician say?

Yup he said that my line has oxidised badly and changed it already...but still, the problem still persists

YES.. i have been having this problem for past few months.. i suspect its the modem itself.. planning to give singtel a call tml
I reserve the rights to SELL and to accept other bids unless transaction is done within 24hrs after deal. Sellers/buyers who withdraw 24hours before transaction will be banned. No refunds for incompatible hardware.

same here, mine's 2701hgv-e, sometimes can whole day nothing happen BUT sometimes can DC several times within an hour...normally reboot the sys, the line came back...but hell, im paying 88 per mth going thru all this????

any bros got solutions to this, i dont like calling up ST n bombard unless i cannot solve the problem!

First of all what Plan are u using, normal broadband or MIO PLAN Digital Voice or MIO PLAN Analogue..... If you are using normal broadband only, please ensure that all the phone sockets using phones are all attached with a microfilter already..... if insufficient microfilter can go hello shop to purchase also..... If all else fails call 1800 848 6933 for a appointment..... request for senior staff to take a look.....

anyone has this problem? i had MIO plan with 2701hgv-e modem and sometime my connection will just hang and connection tray in winxp with not response. but after i did a restart everything is back to normal.
