any self-respecting ISP will throttle their P2P traffic

My tunnel provider maxes out at 20mbps down 2.4mbps up.

Edit: I ain't a Singtel user, but Starhub is definitely throttling something. My BSD/Linux images move really slowly outside the GRE tunnel. Response within the tunnel however is snap-snappy

firstly not all torrents are illegal...so i don see why the hell they should throttle!

and this has happened after a software update on my 2wire...i set it to factory state and its as fast as ever...

also i think the throttling was affecting my web browsing..after resetting to factory state it seems to be fine...

another solution my friend told me was use the non 2wire modems, though i don know how much of that is true!

Definitely throttling. I was back up to 1mb/s speed for a while, before suddenly dropping to 100kb/s.

You are trying to use a torrent that requires registration.
