What brand/model is your router. The common solution is change the router.

Under Linksys brand, there is this "Range Expander".
The model is WRE54G.
Otherwise, why not try Powerline.

Been using homeplug for 2 years. Had to replace one once. Regret not putting in Cat6.

apply this kinda of AP?
Indoor Dual-Band 802.11n AP (ZoneFlex 7962) | Ruckus Wireless

wifi n with Beam Forming is sweet

alternatively, can try changing location.

If you really need wireless, the last resort would be using repeater.
This aint ideal as bandwidth and latency associated with such solution.
testing?

For the powerline right, how does it work? I put the powerline next to the router or pit in my room which is near my computer? I don't understand how does it work

Please take a peek at this link
Homeplug 200Mbps, Fastest Homeplug, Powerline adapter

As long as all your home power is derived from a single phase it would be fine.

I wouldn't recommend using powerline unless its absolutely the last option.

hardware is the best way to do.
