Problem with Starhub Maxmobile with 1mbps download speed... faustine Oct 2nd, 09, 02:27 PM #1 (permalink)
... that comes with the Maxonline Express Plus

Its a very strange problem, I'm not sure if anyone of you ever encountered.

I just switched to this from the MaxMobile Ultimate 7.2mbps and the E270 modem was working fine.

It has to do with Jobstreet's browsing/searching function.

It seems that with the new modem E1550, the site doesn't load the search results in an instant or never appear at all... Keeps loading.

If I try to use back the old modem E270 with this new connection, it works.... Jobstreet's search function is fine.

If anyone ever encountered this, please help... I can't keep switching modem whenever I wanna use Jobstreet's search function...

Thanks..

Regards

Faustine

only with Jobstreet or you have other sites also face the same constant loading problem?

Did you get Starhub's help?

er.. they dont have 6xxxx series modem now isnt' it? unless u talking about MF626/628.... how much did you get the modem? Or does it come with the ultimate plan free?

I still have my old E270 modem, which would work ... but that would mean.. the stupid E1550 have to forego... which defeats the purpose!!

My home MaxOnline is working very fine..

Its only the Maxmobile USB modem that has this problem... btw its E1550 the usb modem for the 1Mbps download speed

Im using E1550 too.
And I am experiencing intermittent disconnections.
bloody irritating.

I called up SH tech support and was told that their maxmobile tech support is experiencing call queue.

Qns:
Can I terminate my contract without any penalty if this continues and getting no help from Starhub?

dun think u can....... cos with the contract terms.. u will need to pay penalty.

Well for maxmobile.. its common to have such intermittent disconnections.. when i was using the maxmobile ultimate 7.2mbps... i experience such disconnections too.. but lan lan.. as long as can use can liao... cannot be used for critical stuff
