Help needed in configuring Linksys WRT54G router aikamai Feb 9th, 06, 01:07 PM #1 (permalink)
I'm a n00b in wireless connections.
I've got a Linksys WRT54G router with me. Can anyone show me the steps as to configuring and securing my network? Pictures would be great.

And can I configure it via wireless or do I have to connect it through the Ethernet port? I'll also need to add a desktop to use the wireless as well.

Also, if my laptop gets disconnected from the Internet very often, what may be the reason? And how do I settle the problem?

Many thanks.

If say u are on wireless connection, getting d/c is very common. But if u are wired then it is most probably your configuration problem. But u get the connection up first then slowly configure

Hi Crazy
Any way is to call LINKSYS helpline. it is toll free 800 line. they are very helpful, except you will need to bear with the philippines accent and slight delay in the reception over the phone. I forgotten the number, but can be found in your package.
