2wire 2701HGV-E setup saragota Nov 10th, 10, 11:48 AM #1

unable / very slow to access to setup page. Very frustrated with it attempt to port forward also give error. Any idea how to resolve it?

Ditch the 2wire modem and get another modem/router.

It doesnt seem to be firmware upgradeable, right? I think the modem still can be use maybe I buy a new router ?

I support this sentence as well. AFAIK, there's no way to quicken the access speed to this crappy router.
*Even upgrading it's firmware doesn't help.

The only solution is to set your 2Wire to bridge mode and use another router.

How to set to the bridge mode? What router ur recommend? It using another router the connection will be from WAN-to-WAN port of the 2 wire gateway and the new router, right?
