    If this is real, fantastic.

    But for some reason i don't believe it. After the disappointment that was Phenom, and the 6900 series, not sure if AMD can really pull such a huge success.

    The gaming performance is unbelievable! Hope it's true.

    Now I wonder what will happen with SLI support. I hope both AMD and Nvidia, are not foolish enough to deprive their customers of such choice, especially considering these cpus will aim for the high end market.

    If one looks at the bars which are split in three parts things start to look different imo. Meida performance, as it is called, is marginally higher. Then there is rendering performance regarding which looks really nice. And finally the gaming performance again looks amazing but personally I think that the bars represent a comparison between Intels and AMDs integrated graphics and that I isn't very representative for such a comparison.

    No one of the cpus in that slide, has integrated graphics and chipsets are not mentioned anywhere on that specific slide, to drive someone to thing that this has anything to do with integrated graphics.

    You got a point there regarding the LGA 1156, since the i7 950 is used for the comparison purposes of this slide, but still, this slide does not specifically say i7 950=LGA 1156. It just compares with the 950 and states that the desktop part was the LGA 1156. Maybe AMD considers LGA 1366 a higher grade platform and not just desktop.

    As for the performace, Accodring to Hardware.FR's recent huge test with 168 CPUs, the X6 1090T (not even the 1100T) compared to the i7 950 scored

    Cinema 4D

    1100T = 238 secs , Core i7 950 = 234 secs (lower is better)

    3D Studio Max 2010

    1100T = 267 secs , Core i7 950 = 295 secs (lower is better)

    In gaming tests the 950 is quite faster in two of the four tests, but not so much faster on the other two. For all we know, the other two could be making extensive use of SSE 4.1 or 4.2 which the Thuban does not support. The Zabmezi does though!

    Now since this is the 1090T in comparison here, I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss that 1100T=i7 950 claim!

    The important thing is to verify the validity of this slide above all.

    Intel Sandy Bridge both the Core i5 2500K and Core i7 2600K is near or have out perform its own high-end Core i7 980x. Since the 980x is way faster than the i7 950 and AMD Bulldozer claims to be faster than the i7 950. But if can't beat the Sandy Bridge then they're toast.
    Seriously they need to hire better engineers who knows how to design CPUs because right now Intel's pricing are ridiculous! Right here it's $99 for a low-end dual core while for AMD, you can get a quad for for the same price.
    It would be nice if AMD includes a toy bulldozer with their logo on it, along with the CPUs.

    I really dun think AMD bulldozer will be that fast. It should be similar or faster than current sandy bridge DT ( hope and finger crossed ) but i really dun think it will catch up with sandy bridge EN/EP.

    AMD cant fight performance head on with intel now. Only thing that help them now is cost to performance ratios.

    Looks more like theoreticals than per core performance and I assume that's why they have the phenom equal to the core i7...but at 8 cores vs 4 and nextgen with only a 50% increase would be a disaster.

    Really hope amd pulls out but right now it looks like they're not going to give intel much competition in pure performance.

    I don't know why amd quote it as 8 cores, it is actually a 4 module 8 threads cpu

    each module has 2 cores? If i'm gonna make a guess, I think Bulldozer will perform like nehalem.

    Probably because there's a pair of almost complete core per module.

    Honestly, I was hoping for Bulldozer to be at least as fast as the Clarkdale gen processor, with a decently powerful integrated GPU. If it can outperform, then it is a bonus. Though I am still keeping my fingers cross at the moment. With Intel completely dominating the high end processor market, the prices for a much smaller die from Intel is quite ridiculous. I think the profit announced for the entire 2010 is a very good indication how much profit they are making.
